End of this spectacular week and weekend!

Good evening!

Tomorrow is a new week starting and a lot of new opportunities,

Tomorrow from the early morning all students in Upper Secondary School have a basketball tournament and the Sports teachers told us to go to bed early,*

Tomorrow starts SBBMUN (Monday-Wednesday) also and that's gonna be interesting, fun and a lot of works for everyone!

Victory today!

Today we had a floorball game with the seniors in Waterloo Lions playing in the Belgium League and we finally, finally won and we did play really good also, The game ended 10-4 I think but however a victory. During the game one of the other team beat me with the stick on my right hand so my thumb nail was shattered and a bit further down it started to bleed and now it's a brand of battling on the suit.

*and you should always listen to the teachers!;) Good night dear readers!:)

An Article About Me In The New Magazine Kompis!

Well good evening everybody out there in the world today it's a really good day of many reasons!

1.
- The Magazine is finally out, and I love it and so did the rest on the Scandinavian School of Brussels, so thanks a lot Hanna for interviewing me!:)

The Cover

The Article

You have all info there, just ask me if it's something and I can give you more information, you can email me or just add me if it's something that you want.

This Magazine has 7000 editions in whole Finland, which is pretty extrem.

2.
- Today my grandpa is celebrating his 90 years day!! I'm so happy for him and all relatives that proudly can wear his lastname Wilson! I'm really sad to not be able to participate with you all! Have a wonderful day dear Verner! A hero for Finland in the war and a strong man during the whole life!

3.
- It's Friday this massive week is over, and next week is also tough but more funnier!!:) With SSBMUN, basketball tournament, a day off at Thursday and the last tests for this period. I will really enjoy this weekend, to be ready for next week as I try to tell you I'm a bit sick, like having some kind of colds. I just want to point out that I have not had fever on like 2-3 years.

Have a nice weekend!

TV4 Sweden, spring and the magazine 'Kompis' is released!

It's happening a lot at SSB for the moment with everything! But it's also good and fun to be under pressure sometimes! :)

Today we had visiters from TV4 Sweden that made a program about our School so keep your eyes open,

hopefully I will get that viedo type and link it here later.

Yesterday's 'Korfbaal' tournament went really good in that case it was the first time we played together and played real games but if we had got one or two trainings to practise especially to train shoots it had probably went much better.

They are playing this strange sport a lot here in Belgium and Holland professional and in schools. Check this out 'Korfbaal' link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uZXRa6nGk9A&feature=youtu.be

It feels more and more like spring now but not really and I hope it will be warmer and all these colds can disappear in the air!

Today was the magazine 'Kompis' released in atleast my old lower secondary school Högstadiet i Petalax (HiP). I spoiled my blog there, and here it is! Plz just feel free to contact me or be my friend on facebook for instance! It's a totally new magazine and I have no clues what it looks like yet, just so exciting!;D I will soon get that article from the company posted to my school, just waiting! (bah).

Today is also the International Women's Day which is always celebrated on 8 March for women's inequality!

=]

Except that the TV4 filmed my lesson when I had mother tongue, I also got my grade as an actor today I got a well achieved 10. (In Finland we have the scale from 4-10 in Lower Secondary School). Because we had a project to make a movie about some kind of saints. And my group decided to make a movie about the well known "Saint Göran and the dragon".

Boyaah, a very good day at the school!

<=> Tomorrow comes Friday even better!

;)

A beautiful start on the new exciting week!;)

A new week, with new achievements and new possibilities!

This week will be
tough in the school including the following week that's why I spended my weekend at the castle and didn't go out for something perhaps funnier and more attractive!

- Views from the inside of the Scandinavian School of Brussels.

Today
we had handball at sports, both French and Finnish teachers were sick but our good English teacher was present and we discussed the last questions about "THINGS FALL APART". This book is about the great warrior Okonkwo from West Africa who is the leader of the powerful tribe from Umuofia. I don't like to read books but when you are more or less forced to it and give the book that time it needs it actually is quite interesting and sometimes even more interesting! This book Things Fall Apart which is a bestseller and quite famous as the Alchemist gets 4/5 points.

(Or 4/5 boston gurkor as my funny friends Alexander R & Johan N would like me to write instead. I'm Sharing a lot dudes! Haha!;D)

Weather Today
we had -2,0 degrees with light snowfall and some rain, strange weather in Belgium not the climate because weather is something that changes much often, climate is something that happens during a longer time further forward in the time. Because we had +16 degrees on Saturday! My friend from Brussels told me that they had around +30 degrees in the end of March last year, sounds good! I would enjoy it! Wouldn't you?(#)

- View from window. Pretty bad weather today you see!

I'm actually coming forward with the driving license
and more and more is clearing up, tomorrow I'm going to visit the "AUTO-ECOLE EUROPEENNE". And discuss about the driving exam, if I need an interpreter from French into English, and when I have the access to start driving!

Tomorrow
the SSBMUN group will present the whole SSBMUN for each GYM class at the tutor lessons. Be aware of a piece of information.

8):)

- Picture of the Disarmament Committee, my committee the best one, I really enjoyed it! Thanks all that made it so funny and good and the atmosphere was amazing in Germany, Berlin. I miss it. Do you?

Wednesday
is a "Korfbaal" tournament waiting and SSB has a team for students. It's quite the same as basketball but less tackles and you are not either score the same way because you can move yourself in a radie of 360 degrees around the score point.

- Looking forward! (Y)

LOOK HERE ALL FINNISH SWEDISH SPEAKING STUDENTS! DURING THIS WEEK A MAGAZINE FOR STUDENTS CALLED "KOMPIS" WILL BE RELEASED IN WHOLE FINLAND FOR ALL STUDENTS IN CLASS 9! BECAUSE I WAS ASKED TO DO AN INTERVIEW FOR A MONTH AGO FOR THIS COMPANY! KEEP YOUR BIG EYES OPEN FOR ME STUDENTS IN CLASS 9!

Have a good evening and a good week of studies or a great working week!

;')

Today 13-1 / 13-0 really / U-18 series Waterloo Lions!

I woke up early this morning(08:00) by a phone call from my friend in Finland that told me to not hassle anything today and that I had to win today without let the other team score anything!

Yeaaaah another victory! I heard from some statistics and friends that Waterloo Lions U-18 team has been second a lot of times but this year we are here to win! Really good played and really good coached by or trainers, thanks to our big true supporting family also, because without you it had been nothing!

Why I'm writing 13-0... is because that one who scored a goal on us pushed the ball in the goal with the body and during the same time he was standing with his right foot in the little goalkeeper's zone. But I have really learnt to not stop playing, you always have to play until you hear the whistle sound. Or another example in 100 meter you have to run 105 meter 100%!

I also got a comment from one of the judges during the match that I should be aware of the big goalkeeper's zone line, I was apparently almost outside the line some times.

It's always good to get feedback even though it's positive or negative, today I received plenty of positive feedbacks also from the opponents, who also wished us good luck in the final, and wanted us to beat the team that are closest to us!

"Just play. Have fun. Enjoy the game."
- A famous Michael Jordan quote.

However, yesterday I had not time to update it but yesterday the Finnish president entered the position as the president of Finland(1 March)! Congratulations Sauli Niinistö, a Great man for a Great country!

Congratulations!

Poika! (as George would say, my friend from Sweden which also is living on the castle he has been sick for a week now, hope you are getting better MAN so we can go out and party with some Great girls!)

At school I handed in the last assignments before I went home at 15:30. A Great Friday I also met a lady from Närpes which is my Finnish friend Michelle's mother! It was really nice!! =)

I will try to get some sleep now and a lot of plans tonight but I don't know what I have energy to, YOU CAN ALWAYS STUDY I HAVE RECOGNIZED! ;) haha :)

Good Night for a moment! (S) I also heard from my sources and contacts that it will be a Valentine Bale on the castle or more like a disco, sounds intresting to just walk by and check it out! ;) Someone that wants to join?;D

Back from training & 1 March + SSBMUN meeting!

For the moment I am watching some French videos to improve the listening skills!

Back from training, a quick shower because it's only ice cold water on the castle again (it happens sometimes)... I did a good training this time an once a time I showed my penalty skills I have saved 4 of 4 penalties in the Belgium series which is 100% saves on penalties. Tonight the whole team was playing good, we had some different practises and three games! I enjoyed and appreciated the training!

Two pictures of the whole group from SSB at the parliament ( I am trying to raise the Finnish flag beside a lot of Swedish nationalists!;D )

Another pic from the same time

We also had a little encounter after the trip today with the SSBMUN team which cleared a lot and I think this is gonna be fun!, serious! and a nice day! to remeber if everyone is participating! :)

Stuff from the political trip today in Brussels! Information in Finnish, Swedish, English and German(Y) !

ciao!

Winter vacation, another awesome time!

I stayed at the castle during this vacation of many reasons; the Easter is coming soon more precisely in a month and that holiday is much longer and I also wanted to acquaint me more with the country. However I spend a lot of time in the music building, I also trained almost everyday in gym, running and now and then some football with some other guys.  School was open throughout the week and one day was I asked to show around a Finnish family that had a girl who will attend the upper secondary school next year, pretty nice.

I wasn't the only student that defended the castle but I was the one that stayed through the whole week, strongly! We had a lot of food and got refills and it was still food left on Sunday. Anyway I did not eat on the castle everyday, so some of the days it was a bit more luxury than others!;D

1. Home made pizzas on the inside of the castle 2. Luxury food made on the outside of the castle (Raphael restuarant in Brussels, recommend!)

The end of the weekend was the perfect end of the vacation, I went to Brussels by train from Waterloo and it was a shiniest day (Saturday) during the week and when I arrived to Brussels my political friend called me and asked if I wanted to join and visit the Military Museum which was placed here...

So I took the metro to the area but first we had to take advantage of the sun a little at a nice cafe! =D

Some chosen pics from the very interesting military history museum, check it out! The museum was focused largely on all Belgian history of war, in the giant museum could you find a lot of things that have been preserved from conquest, great battles, countries that Belgium has been in contact with, and much more!

1. The first air hangar
2. A Swedish helm with connection to the Belgian army.
3. The Finnish Russian winter war suit packet.
4. Ship in miniature to show when the Belgian army went to Africa and conquered colonies.
5-6. Things Belgium got from African warriors during the time when Belgium conquering of the African colonies.
7. Some real warriors from the time when Belgium was a powerful country in war.
8. Belgian propaganda!

Back to the text
On the trains, undergrounds during the trip I met a couple of new friends as I always do but it was a coincidence that I met a same age awesome and nice Danish au pair which lived in Waterloo, really great to meet you! See you soon again!;D
Another day this week I went out with my French friend in Waterloo and she showed me places I not have seen before and at the same time we talked a lot and I improved my French, thanks for that and it was really nice of you!=)

Good morning sunshines!

For the moment the day consist of

school works (math test),

preparations for Scandinavian School of Brussels Model United Nations (SSBMUN)

and soon training because we have a floorball game tomorrow and it's a long time ago since we had a game with the senior team now! That's one reason why I really want to go and play with the floorball ball, to be ready tomorrow!

Waterloo around!

Waterloo is a really suitable place located in the Walloonia region which means that the community is talking French while in the other region of Belgium namely Flandern they are speaking dutch. You find Waterloo in the middle of Belgium in the heart of the heart, it lives almost 30 000 inhabitants but many of these are non-Belgian and work for institutions or companies in Brussels or for the political centre of the European Union. This town architecture is old stone cottage and bricks houses and it's a rich suburban to Brussels. The houses are often surounded of perfect cut hedges.

It's a great nature with deep forests and huge trees, I prefer you to come and visit Belgium when it's warm periods because then everything is more green and much more nice! Winter is also a fine period during the year here in Belgium but I am coming from Finland and enjoy the snow but it's cool to see the landscape in a other condition.

Waterloo City is really compact and consists mainly of a street that cross the whole city and on the both sides you can find a lots of different stores as international and Belgian national shops. Waterloo has also a variety of restaurants around the whole town cheaper and more expensive. Without talking about all facilities to get yourself a new hairstyle!

The "Night Life" in Belgium during the weekends are always loud and lively and it's a huge amount of youths out and it gets a nice atmosphere in the air and you get a cool aura around you! Some places in Waterloo in rank arrangements: Touch Down, Coctail Bar, Oscar's, Friday's, Knokke Out and Mezza... The well known Scandinavian party place in Brussels is called for LE YOU.

Some last words about Waterloo in this post, Waterloo is a really great place to live in, the public transport is working fine without any bigger problems and oddities with taxis, buses and trains, close to the train station you can find a market place and every Sunday a pretty big and comfortable market is held there. Good Night readers, friends, strangers, gamers, cool dudes and everybody! Sleep well!;)

What does the Weather in Waterloo looks like?

Before I came here my opinions about Belgium was agitated and a bit confused but my instinct said it's probably a lot of fog, pretty cold climate and rain atleast three times a day! But once I came here I have hardly complained anything about the weather, during August it all flourished overall and into October we still caught the sunlight from the very shiny sun!

I have heard a lot of information about the Weather in Belgium. Belgium is placed close to the Gulf Stream and that's why the country has a maritime climate which means quite constant temperature, mild winters and temperate summers and of course rain comprises for the maritime climate. The summer comes earlier to Belgium than in Finland, Sweden and Norway. The most sunshine hours do you find on the coastline.

Do not trust any sources or something, you should come and live here to know what I am telling because three days ago I clarified and experienced by myself that the weather in Belgium can be very very unsafe at any rate more than in Finland!

Three days back it was really strange but also pretty funny because I have not realized this fast changing weather as I did that day. I went with a couple of my friends to Quick; fastfood corporation (Belgium's kind of McDonald's). Firstly we had sunshine and it felt temperate twenty minutes later it started to rain another twenty minutes it started to rain big hail and with a snap with the fingers it came like a furious whirlwind and reduced the rain and it started to snow.

When it comes snow in Belgium the traffic is slowing down and everybody is talking about chaos when the first snow is coming and I agree because cars cannot drive forward because they don't have the right wheels and some drivers underestimates the snow and ice and it ends usually with wrath and collides for the stressed drivers. Including airport, train station gets troubles and all kind of public passenger transport.

Overall the weather has been better and very stabile and the weather prognos has almost everyday been dependable or better than reliable, maybe I brought with me my luck because I have my four-leaved clover with me here too!

For you that have ignorance about this hot summer 2011 we have had that was considerable for whole Europe, it was a wave from India that we call for the the "Indian Summer".

We can however explain the instability weather prognos declared to the global heating, which has main consequences from the greenhouse effect, greenhouse gas, radiative forcing and carbon dioxide in earth's atmosphere. In this case these consequences creates new climate such on earth and also disturbs the sea, new climate in different places and new different temperatures than before as global average air and ocean temperatures, widespread melting of snow and ice and rising global average sea level.

Hey you I also studying geography, my knowledges is huge! (;

J, wish you all a cool day!

The traditional Fat Tuesday!

Today it's a special Tuesday of the year, It's the Fat Tuesday or Shrove Tuesday Buns. In Scandinavia these lovely cream filled buns were once associated with the Lenten season. The buns are now enjoyed at any time, we are eating them from Christmas to Easter but they were once made only on the day before Ash Wednesday.

This is my own fastlagsbulle that I made today, pretty proud! Hehe!

The buns are a real delicacy and I think everyone will enjoy them. A simple sweet dough is shaped into rolls and baked. Once they're done they can be filled in many ways.
It's quite easy to make and I really think that everyone will enjoy them, they are a real delicacy! It's two main factors: 1. A simple sweet dough is shaped into rolls and baked. 2. Once they're done they can be filled in many ways, usually with whipped cream and almond paste.

I hope everyone is ready for the Lenten season! ;))

Lazy Friday and Floorball updating!

Friday and the start shot of the winter vacation, WOHOO!

The first whole day in the winter vacation, I ate lunch with the teachers ^^. Yeah, for you who didn't knew I am staying in Belgium during the Winter vacation now, so if you want to come and visit me just come over here to the castle! ;)

The Easter break is almost three weeks and then I will leave Belgium for Finland or France and that vacation is coming fast, I want to point out that the time since christmas vacation have went fast as a snap with the fingers. I'm staying in Belgium to get to know the country more, and visit attractions and maybe take a trip crossing the country's frontiers! I will meet friends, and make new friends and get some nice visiters!

I am not worried about to be bored, because it was a long time since I was bored (we are talking about a half year)!;D

:)

Floorball, UPDATING!

It will be floorball trainings and games during the vacation... I haven't told you about this happening in Januari:

In October I had been asked to play a national game against the Belgium U-19 national team and it was in the beginning of the series here in Belgium so I answerd yes of course.

The time went fast and my skills improved with shows and I have saved every penalty so far in the series both in juniors league and in seniors league which I am proud over.

We had a bad first game (which we played on our home arena against Tigers) and we lost heavily, it was a lot of supporters, thanks but sorry but the main things is that we take us to the playoff, we are now third in the League and we have to be one of the firth best when the season is over to reach the playoff.

Here is a pic from the national game arena, where all national floorball game is played, the Belgium floorball team had a training here before our game.

And we won!!! 3-1, very equal game not so dramatic but very exciting during the whole game,

(first period: 1-0, second period: 2-0, third period: 2-1, 3-1)

It was a new stadion and the finest I have played in so far!

Great times!

Well played every chosen player!

Great birthday celebrating yesterday, it was fun!

:):)

I met some new great friends!(Y) Thanks to Brice, Quentin, Jérôme, Estelle and Simon it was a real pleasure to meet you also, funny and cool guys! Très bien!

Congratulations Schmidt!! ;D
